UMA Building renamed Medical Sciences Building

The University Medical Associates (UMA) Building on the medical center campus has a new name.

Effective immediately, the five-level building will be known as the Medical Sciences Building.

Signage will be upgraded soon to reflect the new name.

The five-level Medical Sciences Building is connected to the Durham Outpatient Center on the north. The name was changed because UMA, Omaha’s largest group practice, changed its name to UNMC Physicians earlier this year.

The Medical Sciences Building, completed in 1977, provides a convenient, centralized location for many of UNMC’s clinical faculty members.

For mailing and directory purposes, the building abbreviation will be MSB. ZIP codes within the building will not change.
