Spotlight on new faculty — meet Audrey Lazenby, M.D.

Name: Audrey J. Lazenby, M.D.

Title: Professor, department of pathology and microbiology and director of anatomic pathology

Duties: Dr. Lazenby will have anatomic pathology responsibilities as well as participate in clinicopathology research. Her main clinical duties will include general surgical pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, clinical conferences and directing the anatomic pathology division. Teaching responsibilities include resident and fellow education as well as teaching second-year medical school courses.

Specialty Interests: Gastrointestinal pathology, particularly inflammatory diseases and infectious diseases, as well as fatty liver disease.

Degree: M.D., The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore

Residency: Washington University, School of Medicine, St. Louis

Fellowships: Surgical Pathology, University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, N.C.; Gastrointestinal Pathology, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore
