The UNMC Alumni Office and the University of Nebraska Foundation hosted the second annual “UNMC Alumni & Friends in the Valley of the Sun” on Feb. 23-24.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to engage our proud UNMC alumni who live in the ‘Valley of the Sun,’ ” said Kim Cuda, director of UNMC Alumni Affairs. “Everyone enjoyed meeting and greeting one another and we look forward to returning next year to share more good news with our alumni.”
Activities included a reception with the deans, continuing education sessions, golf outing and luncheon program. During the reception, college deans presented a brief update from their respective colleges.
On March 31, UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., and Beverly Maurer, the UNMC Alumni Office, and the University of Nebraska Foundation will host another event in Tampa, Fla., for UNMC alumni and friends.
Attending the Scottsdale event from UNMC were:

- Kim Cuda, director, UNMC Alumni Affairs; and
- Joan Husted, program associate, UNMC Center for Continuing Education.
Attending from the University of Nebraska Foundation were Caitlin Davis, Susan Norby, Clark Rosenlof and Tom Thompson.
