UNMC’s McGoogan Library of Medicine has lined up several events in conjunction with National Library Week, which is April 15-21. The theme this year’s library week is “Come Together @ Your Library.”
The McGoogan events include hosting a booth at today’s “Well Aware” event at the Center for Healthy Living highlighting the library’s Consumer Health Information Resource Service (CHIRS), a library tour this afternoon for students from Fontenelle Elementary School, a student cookie break at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Linder Library Lounge and a “Spring Book Sale.”
The book sale is on the sixth floor of Wittson Hall and includes books and videos, which are available for a donation that will be used to purchase new books for the Fontenelle Elementary School Library. The sale is ongoing and will continue throughout the month of April.
Also, those wishing to recognize their favorite library worker can go to the American Library Association-Allied Professional Association (ALA-APA) Web site and submit a “star” on the top right hand section of the page.
