The entire campus is invited to a topping out ceremony for the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education on Wednesday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m.
The ceremony will be held on the top level of parking garage 4, which is on the southeast corner of 42nd and Emile streets.
UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., and Dr. Sorrell will make brief remarks before the building’s final beam is set in place by construction personnel.
Refreshments will be available at the ceremony and employees and students will have a final opportunity to sign the last beam before the ceremony starts.
Parking garage 4 has no elevator. Those needing help getting to the top level of the garage can contact Bill O’Neill in public affairs at 559-9152 by May 23 to make arrangements to attend the ceremony.
