The topping out ceremony for the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education has been rescheduled for Monday, June 4 at 1:30 p.m.
The ceremony — which was postponed Wednesday because of inclement weather — will be held on the top level of parking garage 4 on the southeast corner of 42nd and Emile streets.
UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., and Dr. Sorrell will make brief remarks before the building’s final beam is set in place by construction personnel.
Refreshments will be available at the ceremony and employees and students will have a final opportunity to sign the last beam before the ceremony starts.
