Education: Bachelor of medicine and surgery from University of Madras, India; MPhil in hospital and health systems management from BITS, Pilani, India; Ph.D. in health services organization and research from Virginia Commonwealth University
Residency or post-doc: Residency in otorhinolaryngology, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India — 1983-1986.
Previous positions: Senior medical officer, Ministry of Health, Oman; adjunct faculty instructor, Virginia Commonwealth University
