The 2007 UNMC United Way campaign starts today.
To show the importance of donating to the United Way, UNMC Today will run a series of stories throughout the campaign featuring organizations affiliated with UNMC that receive support from United Way funds.
The following is the schedule of the upcoming stories and the featured organizations:
- Tuesday, Sept. 11 – Alzheimer’s Association
- Thursday, Sept. 13 – Visiting Nurses Association
- Tuesday, Sept. 18 – Multiple Sclerosis
- Thursday, Sept. 20 – Girls, Inc.
- Tuesday, Sept. 25 – Write-in agencies
- Thursday, Sept. 27 – NICU
“The money we give really does help people we know. People who are our patients, friends and family members,” said Mary McNamee, Ph.D., assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs and campus chairwoman for this year’s United Way campaign. “These stories will help illustrate that fact.”
Employees should receive a username and password in their UNMC e-mail accounts on Monday that will allow them to donate to United Way online.
