Drop or add UNMC Today paper copy subscription online

A new link has been added to the UNMC Employee Self Service (ESS) site that allows employees to add or drop subscriptions to the UNMC Today weekly hard copy.

Employees wishing to add or drop a subscription can do so by:

  • Using Lotus Notes usernames and passwords to accessing the UNMC ESS Web site — which is found in the Quick Links on top of the UNMC Intranet (info.unmc.edu); then
  • Clicking on the “Employee Links” folder;
  • Click again on the “Printed UNMC Today Subscription” icon, and
  • Select the tab to either subscribe or unsubscribe.

Unless they specify otherwise, all UNMC employees are subscribed to receive a weekly hard copy.

“I know a lot of employees would prefer to just read the online version and save paper. This new option makes it easier for them to do so,” UNMC Today Editor Chuck Brown said. “This also makes it easy for those who have unsubscribed to restart their subscription.”

Brown thanked Mary Clausen at Information Technology Services for developing the system — which he said should make handling UNMC Today subscriptions much easier for all involved.

Clausen said employees can add and drop their subscriptions as often as they see fit.

All employees with UNMC e-mail accounts will receive UNMC Today’s online newsletter every weekday. Medical center policy requires that the UNMC Today daily newsletter be sent to every campus e-mail account because it often contains information considered vital to the campus.
