The Burke High School ensemble will perform holiday tunes today at noon in the Durham Outpatient Center’s West Atrium as part of the Music as Medicine concert series.
The ensemble is an auditioned group, drawn from the entire student body at Burke High School.
Ensemble members sing styles of music ranging from classical to Broadway and jazz.
During the holiday season, the ensemble performs for church groups, clubs and assisted living homes, doing as many as 15 performances within the month of December.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their own lunch and enjoy the uplifting holiday music. This concert is sponsored by UNMC Physicians.
