UNMC Parking Services would like to remind employees that, beyond their
assigned lot, they have other parking options on weekends and designated
parking holidays.
The designated parking holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day (all of
which are listed on page 3 of the current parking handbook). Employees
must, however, have valid permits displayed, said Tina Spencer, manager
of Parking & Cashiering Operations.
Employees should remember:
- Lot 1 (visitor parking at Clarkson Tower) is not available for weekend
or holiday parking. The limited number of parking stalls is needed for
patients and visitors.
- Lot 1B and Lot 1C (lower levels of visitor parking at Clarkson Tower) is
available for weekend holiday parking.
- Lot 2 (visitor parking at University Tower) is available for weekend and
holiday parking.
On snowy days, it is not acceptable to park in the patient / visitor
parking areas. Employees should continue to park in their designated
parking lot.
