Sushma Rai, M.D., assistant professor in the department of ophthalmology, is among the many new faculty members at UNMC.

Specialty: Ophthalmology, fellowship trained in glaucoma

Residency: Ophthalmology residency at Storm Eye Institute at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C.

Fellowships:

• Research Fellowship in Glaucoma at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia; and
  
• Clinical Fellowship in Glaucoma at Hamilton Glaucoma Center at University of California, San Diego.

Memberships:

• American Academy of Ophthalmology;
  
• American Glaucoma Society; and
  
• The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
