Bruce Buehler, M.D., admires the gift that was presented to him Thursday by the members of the UNMC pediatrics department. The gift was presented to during a tea to thank Dr. Buehler for his 16 years as chairman of the pediatrics department. Dr. Buehler used the tea to thank the department employees for their support and efforts during his time as chairman. It was a joy to watch the department advance and to share in the lives of the department’s employees as chairman, said Dr. Buehler, who recently stepped down from his dual role as pediatrics chairman and director of the Munroe-Meyer Institute. “I consider you all my colleagues,” Dr. Buehler said. “I thank you for your humor and for putting up with mine.” Dr. Buehler will remain on the UNMC faculty as a professor of pediatrics and executive director of the Hattie B. Munroe Center for Human Genetics. |
