Program on new cancer treatments set for Saturday

UNMC will host a program Saturday to provide updates on new treatments and management of lymphoma, acute and chronic leukemia, myeloma, myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative diseases and coagulation disorders.

The target audience is health providers, residents and fellows in oncology, hematology, internal medicine, radiation oncology and pathology.

The program, which will be held at the Hilton Omaha, 1001 Cass St., will be directed by UNMC Section of Oncology/Hematology associate professors, Philip Bierman, M.D., and Marcel DeVetten, M.D.

Registration for the program costs $25, however, the fee will be waived for residents and fellows with status verification letters and registration forms.
