Well, the Gold and Silver shoes have found their ways to their rightful owners, whose pictures have been taken.
We won’t say where the Gold Shoe was found but we will note that its captors were planning to put a plant or some other office decoration in the shoe.
In the top picture, Julie Carstens of the Munroe-Meyer Institute displays her hard-won Gold Shoe that she earned after walking 602,528 steps in January – a record for the monthly contest.
The bottom picture features Jill Daley, an office associate in the department of ophthalmology and visual sciences, who logged 238,605 steps in January and took home the Silver Shoe.
Those looking to compete for the February Gold Shoe have until Monday, March 3 to send in monthly step totals. February’s winners will be announced on Monday, March 10.
