Heidi Joy

Heidi Joy returns to the Music as Medicine series today with Riverside Anthology, an Omaha band that made its debut in January.

The noon concert, which is sponsored by the UNMC Chancellor’s Office, will be in the Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium.

Employees, students and patients are encouraged to bring lunch and enjoy the hour-long concert, which will be filled with sweet harmonies and an approach that harkens back to old-time bluegrass bands.

Riverside Anthology features Joy on vocals, Andrew Bailie (a member of the Wholes) on guitar/vocals and Cherron Arens on upright bass. The band plays a mix of covers and originals that range from bluegrass and folk-rock to urban blues and country.

Remaining performers in this year’s concert series are:

  • May 15 — Omaha Chamber Music Society
  • June 5 — Bel Canto Choir
