The new center at 4242 Farnam St. in the Clarkson Doctors Building North Suite 650 will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“Our new clinic is 7,000 square feet with 18 exam rooms and two procedures rooms,” said Sherri Burkle, the center’s clinic manager. “The neurological sciences center will house general and specialty neurology, neurosurgery, pain medicine and urology.”
All of theses specialties had different clinic locations in the past and now they’ve been brought together to offer patients a specialty services center where they can receive quality health care that focuses on the individual needs of each patient in one convenient location.
The new center is double the size of the previous neurology clinic and offers more exam and procedure rooms as well as a lab that accommodates the on-site needs of the clinic.
“Our new state-of-the-art facility is designed specifically with neurology patients in mind,” said Pierre Fayad, M.D., Reynolds Centennial Professor and chairman of UNMC Department of Neurological Sciences. “We will focus not only on our patients’ medical needs but also their comfort.

Patient comfort was the key idea behind the design of the new clinic.
“From the beautiful waiting room to the new exam rooms, this new clinic offers patients a more comfortable environment,” Burkle said. “A full-time patient financial counselor also will be on-site in the waiting room to assist patients with any financial questions or issues they may have.”
