Lookin’ at U — Bob Schmida

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”

Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee to feature.

This week, we feature Bob Schmida, accounting program associate for continuing nursing education.

Here, in his own words, are five fun facts about Bob:

• I’ve been with the College of Nursing for approximately 4 1/2 years;
  
• I enjoy cycling and participate each year in the Corporate Cycling Challenge, which UNMC sponsors;
  
• My wife and I enjoy our walks, which we try to do at least five days a week;
  
• I enjoy spending as much time as I can with our grandkids — Blake, Olivia, Claire, Allie and Jack. Their ages range from 3 to 9;
  
• My wife and I really enjoy our trips to Estes Park each year. We like to hike the various trails at Rocky Mountain National Park.
