UNMC anesthesiology professor Ben Boedeker, M.D., Ph.D., right, shows congressional candidate Jim Esch how to use a device the medical center scientist developed to improve intubation of patients.

Esch received his medical lesson as part of a visit to the medical center on Wednesday that saw him meet with Dr. Boedeker and UNMC leaders such as Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., Vice Chancellor for Research Tom Rosenquist, Ph.D., and Eppley Cancer Center Director Ken Cowan, M.D., Ph.D.
