Kaihong Su, Ph.D.

Kaihong Su, Ph.D., assistant professor in the department of pathology and microbiology, is one of the many new faculty members at UNMC.

Name: Kaihong Su, Ph.D.

Title: Assistant professor in the department of pathology and microbiology, College of Medicine.

Research interests: Immunoglobulin G (IgG) Fc receptors and their role in autoimmune diseases. IgG Fc receptors serve as a bridge of innate and adaptive immune systems and play an important role in immune regulation.

Education: Ph.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1998; master’s degree from Nankai University, P. R. China in 1993; bachelor’s degree from Nankai University, P. R. China in 1990.

Previous positions: Assistant professor in the division of clinical immunology and rheumatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
