UNMC seeks volunteer tour guides

Volunteers are needed to serve as docents for the UNMC Tour Program. The position involves escorting groups to various locations on campus.

From school-age children to state senators and foreign VIPs, more than 2,000 people visit UNMC each year to learn more about education, research, patient care and outreach programs. Docents generally escort two or three groups per month depending on the schedule. Most tours last two to three hours.

New docent training is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Friday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
