Daniel Pesut, Ph.D., of the Indiana University School of Nursing, will present the inaugural Audrey Solberg Smith Distinguished Lectureship for Teaching Excellence on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m.

Dr. Pesut’s presentation — which will be titled “Future Forces Affecting Nursing Education: Implications for 21st Century Teaching and Learning” — will be held in the Room 3002 in the Sorrell Center.

It will be made available via video to College of Nursing campuses in Lincoln (Room 360), Kearney (Room 144W) and Scottsbluff (201C).

The lecture will be the first in an annual series made possible by a generous endowment from Audrey Solberg “Solly” Smith.

Smith graduated with a degree in nursing from the University of Nebraska School of Nursing in 1947, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the UNMC College of Nursing in 1965.

The Audrey Solberg Smith Distinguished Lectureship for Teaching Excellence will promote learning skills and outstanding teaching at the UNMC College of Nursing.
