UNMC Today will cease production of its weekly hard copy starting Sept. 1.
That means the Aug. 29 print version of UNMC Today will be the last weekly distribution of the newsletter.
“We took a survey of readers late last year and based on the responses we received, it was apparent that very few employees use the weekly print version as their primary source of campus information,” said Renee Fry, director of UNMC public affairs. “As such, we found it was no longer fiscally responsible for us to dedicate significant resources to this publication.”
Also, many employees have asked to stop receiving the print version as a paper-saving measure.
UNMC Today will continue to be circulated online each weekday and special hard copy editions of the newsletter will be produced to coincide with major campus events.
