UNMC fourth year medical student Tilman Koelsch helps with a school physical during the second annual “Back to School Bonanza,” which was held last month at Omaha’s Sacred Heart Elementary School.

More than 30 UNMC medical students helped with the event, during which 172 children received physicals and 851 people received food, clothing and household items.

The students helped facilitate school physicals for the students.

The event was organized by the Heart Ministry Center and a UNMC student group called North Omaha Health Activities in Medicine (UNMC student group).

The group was supervised by physicians and physician assistants from the Omaha community.
