Caring for “tweens” and teens will be the focus of the final “Stages” presentation by the Olson Center for Women’s Health on Sept. 18.

The Olson Center for Women’s Health invites “tweens” and teens and the mothers who care for them to its fourth and final forum of the series “Stages” on Thursday, Sept. 18.

The forum runs from 5 to 8 p.m. in UNMC’s Durham Research Center Auditorium.

Health care professionals will discuss eating disorders and body image, safety issues and how to develop life commitments.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for mothers to share time with their daughters while learning important messages for their health and well-being,” said Lana Molczyk, Olson Center resource specialist.

The cost is $10 per person for general registration (includes a boxed dinner) or $25 if requesting 2.25 contract hours nursing credit. Contact the Olson Center at 559-6345 with questions. Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, Sept. 15.
