Employees notified when personal information is changed

A note regarding personal employee information.

Protecting your personal data is not only common sense but is vital in today’s digital society.

After all, if your personal information falls in to the wrong hands, it can lead to fraud and identify theft. It is for those reasons the University of Nebraska has made data protection a key priority in deploying Firefly’s Employee Self Service (ESS).

Effective today, a new process will be implemented to notify employees when a change occurs to their banking, W-4 or home address information.

Whether this information was changed by you (via your Firefly account) or by someone in your Human Resource Office, you will be notified via e-mail.

Your personal information will not be included in this notification e-mail. It is just a follow-up to safeguard that no unauthorized changes have occurred.

No additional action is required if you agree with or are aware of the change(s). Please contact the payroll office at 559-7460 immediately if you did not authorize the change mentioned in the e-mail.
