UNMC’s Center for Continuing Education, Information Technology Services and Public Affairs have developed an online all-inclusive calendar of events for UNMC.
The calendar, available through UNMC Today, includes all continuing education events, as well as other campus events. Visit the site at http://calendar.unmc.edu/ or click on Calendar of Events on the Intranet.
Individuals can view events scheduled for a particular day, month, or all future events. It is also possible to narrow a search by entering a key word. To view the details of a course, click on “Details” and the time, location, speaker, course program, etc., will be displayed. The Center for Continuing Education also has online registration available through the calendar. Visitors simply click “register” to register online.
“There have been many attempts by various areas to create an inclusive calendar of events,” said Linda Dolinsky, administrative director of the Center for Continuing Education. “Accomplishing this is a very significant event for our campus.”
By December, Continuing Education visitors will be able to sign up to receive e-mail alerts when a particular conference is posted. Dolinsky said individuals will identify topics of interest and be notified when a conference is posted that matches their interests.
