UNMC faculty, staff and students are invited to bring their lunches to the Sorrell Center’s Truhlsen Events Center today to enjoy Nebraska Shakespeare’s 2008 touring production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

The 65-minute performance has toured middle and high schools throughout Nebraska and western Iowa, including the cities of Omaha, Lincoln, Papillion, Albion, Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Kearney.

In “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” the character Oberon, in order to trick Titania into handing over an Indian boy she is raising, orders Puck to find a plant that causes love at first sight. Through Oberon’s meddling and Puck’s trickery, the characters fall into and out of love with the wrong people.

The Nebraska Shakespeare production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” begins at noon. It is directed by Brandon Higdem and features Sarah Carlson-Brown, Vincent Carlson-Brown, Elizabeth Kendall, Melanie Gillis, KJ Misek, Darrick Silkman and Ashley Spessard.
