Today is the final day of the 2008 United Way drive and as of Thursday, employees had combined to raise $131,079.
That total is 92 percent of UNMC’s goal of $140,980 and has been achieved with about 31 percent of the campus participating in the drive. The campus participation goal is 100 percent.
Last year, the campus raised more than $10,000 on the drive’s final day to surpass the goal. Will there be a repeat performance today?
Also, the third and final United Way prize drawing will be held this afternoon and those that participate in the drive by 5 p.m. will be eligible to win prizes including two tickets to the Nebraska-Colorado football game on Nov. 28.
