Michael Olson, Ph.D., assistant professor in the department of family medicine, is one of the many new faculty members at UNMC.

Certifications: Licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed mental health practitioner

Previous position: Assistant professor in family medicine, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston

Fellowship: Behavioral medicine

Interests: Marriage and health outcomes, spirituality and medicine, mind-body medicine

Description of duties: As a family medicine faculty member, Dr. Olson’s work is divided between residency training, research, and clinical care of patients (individual, marital, and family psychotherapy).

Clinic: Durham Outpatient Center Family Medicine Clinic, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
