Mary Charlton, Ph.D.

Mary Charlton, Ph.D., assistant professor in the department of health services research and administration, is one of the many new faculty members at UNMC.

Name: Mary Charlton, Ph.D.

Title: Assistant professor in the department of health services research and administration, College of Public Health.

Research interests: Evaluations of the implications of reimbursement methodologies on health care delivery, cost effectiveness analyses and health services related to neurological conditions.

Education: Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Iowa in 2008; master’s degree from University of Iowa in 2002; bachelor’s degree from University of Iowa College of Nursing in 1998.

Previous positions: Group Leader of Analytics and Reporting at Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Iowa and South Dakota from 2003 to 2008.
