Wellness Wednesday – NUFlex deadline is Friday

picture disc. The deadline to make changes online or with the 2009 NUFlex Change Form is Friday.

Changes must be made online or the completed 2009 NUFlex Change Form must be received in the UNMC Benefits Office no later than 5 p.m. Friday.

Your benefits, with the exception of the reimbursement account participation, will continue into 2009 with no action required on your part.

Questions may be directed to the UNMC Benefits Office at 559-4340, 559-5911, or (if before noon) 559-7403.

The staff at the UNMC Benefits Office encourages employees to re-enroll online using the university’s business portal, Firefly.

Starting next year, employees will most likely only be able to renew online.

To re-enroll online:

  • Employees will need their Firefly IDs (in most instances this is their Lotus Notes short name, for example Jane Doe would probably be “jdoe”).
  • If employees have forgotten, or do not know, their passwords, they can request one by clicking on “Forgotten your password” from the main Firefly log-on screen. An e-mail will be sent to their Lotus Notes e-mail addresses. The e-mail message will be encrypted and therefore, it can only be read when using a Lotus Notes client (not from logging in through the Web). Those who are unable to read their e-mail will need to contact the SAP Support Desk (see contact information below).
  • There is a link at the top of the Firefly page (right above the UNMC Today) that includes two tutorials, a short version and a longer version, that will help walk employees through the steps.

For employees who would like assistance re-enrolling online:

  • A computer has been set up in the Benefits Department (Administration Building, Room 2015) to assist those who do not have access to a computer or who would like assistance completing the process online.
  • Computer time is available by appointment only (15-minute appointments); to schedule an appointment, contact Dana at 559-5911.
  • Employees must bring their IDs and passwords to their scheduled appointment. If they do not know their IDs and passwords, they can contact SAP Help Desk (see contact information below) prior to arranging their appointments.
  • Employees should have all benefits decisions made prior to coming to the office and logging on to the computer.
