A few donation slots remain open for UNMC’s holiday blood drive, which will be held Monday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Center for Healthy Living in the Student Life Center.
The campus goal for the drive is 40 units of blood.
The Red Cross will provide on campus shuttle service to and from the drive. Contact Peter Pellerito at 559-5253 to make arrangements for a ride.
The Red Cross has an electronic scheduling system that will be used for this drive. Those wishing to donate can schedule appointments for the drive at http://givebloodgivelife.org.
Participants can find the UNMC drive by first clicking on our region and then entering the UNMC drive sponsor code — which is 1199 — or by entering an Omaha ZIP code (68198) and scrolling down to the UNMC drive on Dec. 22.
Those who are experience problems with the registration Web site can call Pellerito for assistance.
Those interested in possibly walking in to give on Monday should call Pellerito to see if slots are available.
For those who cannot donate at the Dec. 22 drive, The Nebraska Medical Center will hold a drive Jan. 20 in the Storz Pavilion.
