Sheritta Ann Strong, M.D., instructor in the adult psychiatry division, is among the many new faculty members at UNMC.

Name: Sheritta Ann Strong, M.D.

Title: Instructor, adult psychiatry division

Interests: Community mental health, mental health disparities, increasing mental health awareness and decreasing stigmas.

Doctoral degree: M.D., UNMC, 2004

Residency: Psychiatry residency at the Creighton / Nebraska Psychiatry Residency Program, August 2008.

Board certification: Pending June 2009.

Memberships: American Psychiatric Association, Nebraska Psychiatric Society, National Medical Association, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc-Graduate Member and Health Resources Committee.

Appointments: Dr. Strong sees patients Monday through Friday at the UNMC Department of Psychiatry’s Mid-City Center at 515 S. 26th St., in Omaha. Call 402-552-6007 to schedule an appointment.
