Clarkson Service League presents $185,000 check to hospital

The league raised the money during several events in 2008, including “Santa’s Preview” and “Polo for Patients.” Funds also were raised in the Clarkson Tower Gift Shop.

The check presentation occurred at the league’s annual meeting, which included the group’s gavel being passed from Stalnaker, the 2008 president, to Erin Muran, the 2009 president.

Muran introduced the league’s executive board for 2009 at the meeting. Executive board members are:

• Lori Bucholz, president elect;
  
• Kim Reeves, vice president;
  
• Christi Oberto and Casey Fehringer, secretaries;
  
• Karen Nelsen, treasurer; and
  
• Sally Stalnaker, adviser.

New board members Mary Derr, Carmen Jensen, Shannon Hoy and Brady Gibson also were announced at the meeting.
