Revving up the Walk and Roll bandwagon

“Round It Up”

No Frills Supermarkets are once again conducting the “Round It Up” campaign. This year’s campaign runs Feb. 11-28. No Frills customers can choose to round up their bill to the next dollar and the spare change will go to benefit recreation therapy programs for adults with developmental disabilities.

C. Louis Meyer Foundation board members and volunteers will be on campus today through Thursday promoting the Walk and Roll for Disabilities on Feb. 22.

People can register for the event, donate to the foundation or purchase a “Denim for Disabilities” sticker on the third floor of the University Tower, across from the elevators.

“Denim for Disabilities” encourages area businesses and schools to sell $1 stickers that allow individuals to dress down in denim for the day.

In order to allow each entity flexibility, no specific date has been set for this campaign. Each participating partner can establish its own “Denim for Disabilities” day.

Since some offices on the UNMC campus have a relaxed dress code, the “Denim for Disabilities” stickers will simply serve as a badge of honor for donating to the Walk and Roll.
