Lookin’ at U – Mirna Colon

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”

Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee or student to feature.

This week, we feature Mirna Colon, regulatory data associate in the Eppley Institute.

Here, in her own words, are five fun facts about Mirna:

• I’ve got four grandchildren, Sienna, Paloma, Bella and Christopher Daniel. Another baby boy is expected in April.

• I’m originally from the Bronx, N.Y., where my career in the health environment started more than 25 years ago.

• Aside from New York, I’ve lived in five different states — Arizona, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Nebraska. I think I’m here to stay.

• My son has just turned the big 13 and he is a proud teenager.

• Last but not least, I love my job in the Eppley Cancer Institute’s Clinical Trials Office. I’m truly blessed.
