Other attractions

The model railroad garden is a miniature whimsical village of Omaha-area landmark replicas, trestles and bridges constructed from bark, vines, mushrooms, twigs and other natural materials. This summer, visitors also will experience a temporary exhibit titled Architectural Wonders of the World that features twelve new buildings including The Eiffel Tower (France), the Taj Mahal (India), Machu Picchu (Peru) and the Great Wall of China. Visitors will be transported to the far ends of the earth to experience miniature versions of some of the world’s most magical structures. Also, the new Garden of Memories will open in late May.

Lauritzen Gardens again offers employees and students at UNMC, UNMC Physicians and The Nebraska Medical Center discounted annual memberships.

The reduced membership prices are listed on the application form found here. To join, complete the application form and return it with payment to the address listed by May 31, which is when the offer ends.
