That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee or student to feature.
This week, we feature Nikki Clark, a student in the College of Nursing.

- I graduate May 1 from the College of Nursing with my bachelor of science in nursing degree. This is a career change for me. This is my third degree — I also have bachelor’s degrees in biology and microbiology. I worked for three years in cancer research here at UNMC before returning to nursing school. I hope to some day combine all my degrees into my working profession.
- In my days at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I was a flag corps member in the UNL Marching Band and I had the honor of attending three national title football games — lots of fun.
- I’m married with two children — Marissa, 6, and Zachary, 3. I spend a lot of time on the soccer field with my children and coaching with my husband.
- My husband and I like to play co-ed softball and take ballroom dance lessons together.
- My dream vacation is to go to Italy and Greece.
