Klein, Studsdahl, Anderson, Karlstad and Huff are fourth year UNMC medical students who will serve one-month rotations at the Chinese institution.

Five fourth-year UNMC students started one month rotations at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (SJTUSM) on Monday.

The students are Lesley Klein, Carrie Studsdahl, Eric Anderson, Martha Karlstad and Jean Huff

This is the third and largest group of UNMC medical students who have been sent to Shanghai.

The first and second sets of students — which were composed of one and two students, respectively — have conducted successful rotations in Shanghai.

In recent years, Shanghai has become an attractive site for medical students to choose elective rotations.

During a welcome dinner hosted by SJTUSM, UNMC students met with eight SJTUSM students who were trained at UNMC in the past.
