Heidi Joy and Riverside Anthology will perform during the Music as Medicine concert today in the Durham Outpatient Center West Atirum.

Heidi Joy and Riverside Anthology returns today to the Music as Medicine series.

The noon concert, sponsored by UNMC Physicians, will be in the Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium.

Riverside Anthology features Heidi Joy on vocals, Andrew Bailie on guitar/vocals and Cherron Arens on upright bass. The band plays a mix of covers and originals that range from bluegrass and folk-rock to urban blues and country.

Joy is well-known in the Omaha area, not just for her work with Riverside Anthology, but also for her jazz concerts and her renditions of the national anthem at the College World Series among other performances.

Upcoming concerts in the Music as Medicine series include:

  • May 21 — Omaha Chamber Music Society featuring Amy Sims, violin; Christi Zuniga, piano; and Jeffrey Whaley, horn.
  • June 18 — Bel Canto Choir (PLEASE NOTE: The date for the Bel Canto Choir has changed.)
