Tea ceremony, mariachi performance highlight May diversity events

Dr. Jiang will demonstrate an Asian tea ceremony on campus on Friday.

UNMC’s Employee Diversity Network will sponsor two events for medical center employees this month.

The first will be held Friday when Creighton University’s Dr. Maorong Jiang presents an Asian Tea Festival at noon in University Tower’s Private Dining Rooms.

Asian inspired foods will be served to the first 40 attendees and Dr. Jiang will demonstrate the tea ceremony and provide tea for all attendees.

On Thursday, May 14, Mariachi Zapata will perform its traditional Mexican music at noon in the Durham Research Center Auditorium. Click here to see more about Mariachi Zapata.
