Discount tickets to the Omaha Community Playhouse’s May 28 special performance of “Gypsy” will be available in the coming weeks in front of the Nebraska Cafe.
The $5 tickets will be on sale on Thursday, May 21, and Wednesday, May 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each employee will have the opportunity to purchase four tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
“This is a terrific opportunity for our employees to experience a wonderful musical production in Omaha, which is why we are sponsoring this event.” said Don Leuenberger, vice chancellor for business and finance.
“Gypsy” is the ultimate story about an aggressive stage mother. Audience members will join Rose, June and Louise on their trip across the United States during the 1920s when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born.
Because of the burlesque theme, the musical is not recommended for children under 10 years of age.
