MMI lauded for Special Olympic support

Karin Carlson, an employee in the patient information office at the Munroe-Meyer Institute, accepts a plaque on behalf of MMI from Rickie Kellar, East Central and West Central Region Director of the 2009 Nebraska Special Olympics.

MMI sponsors the gymnastics event. The motto for this year’s Summer Games is, “Spread the Word to End the Word.”

Nebraska will host the National Special Olympics for the first time in 2010. Events will be held in Lincoln from July 17-24.
