All nonessential UNMC offices will be closed Friday, July 3, in observation of Independence Day, which is a paid holiday for UNMC faculty and staff.
Offices will reopen at normal business hours on July 6.
According to UNMC policy, holidays that fall on the first day of the weekend are observed the day before; holidays that fall on the last day of the weekend are observed the following day.
Employees who are required to work on July 3 will be paid for the time worked and also granted an additional day off. Questions may be referred to the UNMC payroll office at 559-7460.
