David Gannon, M.D., associate professor of medicine, is among the many new faculty members at UNMC.

Name: David Gannon, M.D.

Title: Associate professor of medicine in the pulmonary, critical care, sleep and allergy aection; critical care medical director at The Nebraska Medical Center.

Duties: Dr. Gannon will oversee patient care in all intensive care/special care areas at The Nebraska Medical Center and, in conjunction with the nurse executive director for critical care, ensure high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.

Specialty: Internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine

Degree: M.D., University of Connecticut, Farmington, Conn.

Residency: Internal medicine internship and residency, Waterbury Hospital Health Center, Waterbury, Conn.

Fellowships:

  • Clinical fellowship, pulmonary and critical care medicine, University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, Mich.; and
  • Research fellowship, department of pathology, University of Michigan Medical School.
