Lookin’ at U – Diane Torrey

picture disc.Quick, think of five things others should know about you.

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”

Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee or student to feature.

This week, we feature Diane Torrey, a grants/project associate in the Eppley Institute.

Diane Torrey
  • I played alto saxophone for 9 years and would like to start playing again if I can find a good used sax.

  • I was on stage for “A Christmas Carol” at the Omaha Community Playhouse for four years. I also worked backstage and on stage for a variety of other shows at the Playhouse and at other community theaters in the Omaha area.

  • I love to sew, especially little girl holiday dresses and crib quilts.

  • I love to read and have a database of more than 900 books I have read since 1985.

  • I love to spend time with my family and always look forward to Thanksgiving when we all get together.

Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
