Several spots remain open for next week’s blood drives

Appointment reminder Anyone who wants to can add their e-mail address to the schedule for an automatic reminder about his or her appointment to donate blood.

Plenty of chances remain for medical center community members to give blood during two blood drives on campus next week.

Both drives — a UNMC campus drive at the Center for Healthy Living on Tuesday and Student Senate-sponsored drive in Wittson Hall on Sept. 25 — need 90 donors.

As of Thursday morning, 73 slots had been filled for Tuesday’s drive and 43 had been accounted for in the Student Senate drive.

The Center for Healthy Living drive will run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Student Senate drive will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Type 2223 for the drive in Wittson Hall.
