UNMC policy update — new and revised policies

UNMC policies and procedures exist to serve the needs of all members of the organization, and to serve the organization’s need to comply with various regulatory demands. UNMC policies exist because they are required, as policy, by

  • a regulatory agency, commission, or accrediting body,
  • federal, state, or local statute,
  • regental or executive action,
  • campus-wide UNMC decision concerning everyone’s obligations and boundaries within UNMC.

The following new or revised UNMC policies take effect today (Oct. 25):

No. 1001Employee Leave
This policy replaces UNMC Policy Nos. 1000, 1024, 1030, 1032, 1033, 1034, 1038, 1040, 1042, 1044, and 1046, all issued on or before June 1, 1998.

No. 1028Reduction-in-Force
This policy replaces UNMC Policy No. 1028, issued on July 1, 1991.

No. 1072Employee and Dependent Scholarship
This policy replaces UNMC Policy No. 1072, issued on Nov. 03, 1992.

No. 1093Employee Recognition and Reward
This policy replaces UNMC Policy No. 1093, issued on Jan. 21, 2000.

No. 1098Performance Management
This policy replaces UNMC Policy No. 1098 dated May, 15, 2001.

No. 3000General Accounting
This policy replaces UNMC Policy No. 3000, issued on July 1, 1998.

No. 3039Supplemental Compensation Plan
This policy replaces UNMC Policy No. 3039, issued on Jan. 19, 1989.

No. 6045Privacy, Confidentiality and Information Security
This policy replaces UNMC Policy Nos. 1006 and 6045, both issued on Nov. 5, 1996 or earlier.

No. 6101Indirect Cost
This policy replaces UNMC Policy No. 6101, issued on June 27, 2002.
