Lookin’ at U – Rosario Lobo

picture disc.Quick, think of five things others should know about you.

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee or student to feature.

This week, we feature Rosario Lobo, billing representative in the Munroe-Meyer Institute Patient Information Office.

Rosario Lobo
Here, in her own words, are five fun facts about Rosario:

  • I’m from the Philippines. People think I’m Mexican, Indian, Thai, Vietnamese. People always ask about my heritage.

  • I am the only girl in a family of eight.

  • I have a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. I gave up my career when I started having children because it took a lot of time away from them. I have no regrets.

  • I played volleyball on our school team in middle school. I wasn’t tall enough to be on the high school team (Rosario is 5’1) so I did cheerleading instead.

  • I have two children. Mia is 16 and Izekah is 10. They’re the loves of my life.

Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
